New living in the eastern district: publicly funded apartments and daycare!

Big plans for the Aachen Ostviertel: On an area of around a hectare between Stolberger Straße and Elsassstrasse, new living space is to be built, including a daycare center! And that's not all - at least 40 percent of the apartments are reserved for the publicly funded housing construction! The planning committee has now given the green light for the early participation of the public, and the project is in the spotlight!

The exciting development plan "Elsassstraße / Mosque Seplatz" will be interpreted from October 28 to November 29 in the administration building on Lagerhausstrasse. On November 14th there is the opportunity to hear directly: from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., interested parties can raise their voice in the foyer of the needle factory at Reichsweg 30 and bring their opinions. This planning is not only a further step in the development of the district, but also a result of the “New Living in the Ostviertel” competition, which brought fresh ideas to the table.

The ambitious concept should not only complete the edge development at the mosque area, but also create a quiet, green courtyard - an ideal place for relaxed stays.
