Art with questions: What do the new exhibitions in Aachen tell us?

The art scene in Aachen is currently presenting itself with exciting and diverse exhibitions that combine both traditional and modern approaches. The "Nova Gallery" on Lorraine Straße has opened its gates far and shows works by well -known artists such as Mario K. Christiani, Petra Geiser and Klaus Glutting until January 31. This linking of colors and shapes promises an exciting artist conversation in the room: here "chamber games" meet with mystical darkness and bright attitude to life. Christiani uses dark, captivating motifs, while Geiser kidnaps the audience in dreamy landscapes with her floral, melancholic wood paintings, as well as the Aachener Zeitung reported.

miniatures and puzzles

The miniature exhibition "Small is the New Big" takes place in the "Institute for Dialogue and Discourse" on Jakobstrasse until January 25th. Here, artists from Belgium, Germany and the USA present their ability to present large topics in compressed form through numerous small works. With a size of twelve times twelve centimeters, the objects invite you to discover and puzzle. This attractive compilation includes drawings, paintings and photographs that provide deeper insights into art, as the artist and curator Joachim Griess impressively outlines, as on the website of Mario Urlaß

In the gallery by Vera Hilger and Michael Krupp, another unique exhibition is presented. Under the motto "A place that does not exist", the artists Julia Kissina and Alix Stadtbäumer research human nature and their relationship with the environment. Kissina's works that work with ink drawings reflect on social behaviors, while city bämler interpreted nature in a new way and gives its form its own magical language. The opening of this captivating exhibition will take place on Sunday, December 22nd, at 3 p.m. and the entry to the studio discussion is free. The gallery is accessible on Sundays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
