Aachen 2030: Interactive exhibition shows path to climate neutrality!
Aachen, Deutschland - An exciting new chapter for Aachen: The future room "Aachen 2030 - climate -neutral, but how?" has opened its doors and promises to lead the city on the way to climate neutrality! This interactive exhibition, which started on November 12, puts the climate city contract and the urban goals in the spotlight. Department of Economic Affairs Thomas Hissel and Dr. Carin Jansen, head of the "Climate -neutral Aachen 2030" office, agree: "We present exhibitions on the burning topics of our time."
The next six months are all about climate neutrality. Visitors can playfully learn how to reduce their own CO₂ footprint. At an interactive gaming table, it is clearly explained where and how much electricity is needed and what the future flexible energy network could look like. An impressive LEGO model shows how hydrogen can be used in industry. "Climate protection is not only foregoing," emphasizes Dr. Jansen, "It is a mammoth task where we all have to work together."
diverse events and workshops
But that's not all! In addition to the exhibition, there is an exciting range of events: workshops, office hours and lectures invite citizens to actively participate. A three -part workshop "Your way to climate -neutral life" and regular consultation hours for urban heat planning are on the program. Hissel is convinced: "The conflict of interest between climate protection and the economy is sometimes overestimated. Many companies want to become climate -neutral themselves."
The exhibition is open on Tuesday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be shown by the end of March 2025. A look at the website or social media channels is worthwhile, because the offers grow together with the future room.
