Lea Broedermann: New councilor brings a breath of fresh air to Wolfsburg!

Wolfsburg. A fresh wind blows through the Wolfsburg Council! Lea Broedermann from the "Die Linke" party was ceremoniously introduced to her new office by Mayor Dennis Weilmann (CDU). She succeeds Bastian Zimmermann, who announced his resignation in September. With her admission, the new councilor will in future be part of the joint group "SPD/Councilor Broedermann", which will last until the 192026 parliamentary term.

"Welcome to this round!", Weilmann called while officially hiring Lea Broedermann by handshake. The 27-year-old, who works as an engineer at Volkswagen, brings fresh ideas. Before that, she was already active in the youth welfare committee and will now also have a say in the planning and construction committee and the clinic committee. It also sits new territory on the supervisory board of the housing association.

Political Engagement since 2018

Lea Broedermann has been politically active since 2018 and joined the party "Die Linke", inspired by the strengthening of the AfD in the 2017 Bundestag election. After years in the Wolfsburg district association, she made the leap into the local council of Fallersleben in 2021. "I hope to be able to set social priorities in my work," she emphasizes full of action.

Your predecessor, Bastian Zimmermann, has been active in the council since 2017 and recently switched to the SPD. His resignation was due to a move to Braunschweig. Zimmermann, who joined the "Die Linke" party in 2001, is now leaving a legacy that Lea Broedermann will continue with fresh vigor.
