Wittmund, Deutschland - A radiant victory for the "rescuers" from Wittmund! At the brilliant award ceremony of the Kika Awards at the weekend, they won first place in the "Engagement" category. With your impressive social project, which focuses on first aid, you have not only won the jury, but also the hearts of the audience. Cheers and joy were great among the young rescuers when they received the award.

The "rescuers" are an innovative project by the Wittmund youth work, which specializes in bringing children and seniors closer to the important basics of first aid. Under the motto "I show you how to save", the committed students regularly attend schools, kindergartens and senior citizens to convey life -saving skills in free workshops. "So far we have trained over 500 children and seniors," explains Vladyslav proudly. The workshops that take place every two weeks teach the participants the correct use of patients and the use of defibrillators.
