Outrage in Esens: Church visitors pay fine for worship!

The worshipers of the St. Willehad Church in Esens are out of anger! After police controls on October 13, they had to expect fines of 50 euros for the use of Jahnstrasse, although they only wanted to go to the church. An outraged parishion of Jürgen Siegeris, made an urgent letter to the editorial office and revealed the outrageous details!

The root of the problem lies in the current construction work on Bahnhofstrasse, which has been going on since August and have a full closure. Many roads were closed to prevent Schleich paths, but Jahnstrasse and Marienkemper Straße should remain accessible to residents. On Sunday, however, the service visitors were unlucky. Despite their lawful residual creation, they were stopped and punished in a police check! "Especially on Sunday, when the service takes place, it is incomprehensible that the police do not recognize that the church is accessed by blocked roads," said Siegeris.

The outrage of the residents

A large number of church visitors were involved in the control and had to pay despite their explanations. An older member of the community was so intimidated that she immediately paid for with a card! The police spokeswoman Nancy Rose confirmed the controls and made it clear that worshipers are considered residents and their journeys to the church are legitimate, but it is necessary to share the purpose of the trip to the officials. How can such punishments come about?

The police controls also directed the diversion of the diversion. But the worshipers have the right to use the blocked roads to get to the church. Jürgen Siegeris reports that the parish has already tried to contact the police to clarify the misunderstanding - so far without success! A dramatic mess that heats up the minds and raises questions!
