New traffic route in Wilhelmshaven: Haverminkminikstraße is being expanded!
Wilhelmshaven, Deutschland - In Wilhelmshaven it is getting serious now! Work on extending Haverminikstrasse has started and the city administration published the exciting news on Friday. The disused railway track along the Ems-Jade Canal is located on a distance of 500 meters to connect the existing Havermonikenstrasse to the “Am Handelshafen” street. A big project that should be completed by autumn 2025!
But that's not all! The first steps are already planned in the coming week: small shrubs and annoying blackberry bushes have to give way. The west track will then be dismantled in December, and depending on the weather, work for a sheet pile wall begins. This is necessary to install a second rainwater pumping station near Rüderstrasse. Preparations are in full swing and the city is ready to take this important step into the future!
a step into the future
The extension of the Havermonikenstrasse is not just a construction project, but a significant progress for Wilhelmshaven. The connection between the streets will make traffic easier and improve the city's infrastructure. Citizens can look forward to a modern traffic routing that will increase the accessibility of the region. The anticipation for completion in autumn 2025 is already noticeable!
