Munich musician reveals: the secret of the Most Mysterious Song!
A decades of puzzle takes a surprising turn! Millions of music lovers have been looking for a mysterious song for 40 years, which is known as "The Most Mysterious Song on the Internet". The play was recorded by a teenager named Darius in Wilhelmshaven when he stored it from the NDR radio on cassette. Together with his sister Lydia, the song didn't let go of him and the two asked the question: Who sang the song and what is the title?
The search for the song picked up speed in 2007 when Lydia put a clip on the Internet to get help with identification. But it lasted until 2019 when the song went viral and collected millions of calls on platforms such as YouTube. Reddit users and music enthusiasts worldwide went to hunt for answers, but many were skeptical that the puzzle could ever be solved. On November 4, 2024, a Reddit user named Marijn presented the theory that the song "Subways of your mind" came from the band Fex from Kiel, which was active in the 80s.
The surprise for the band members
On the same day, Michael Hädrich, a former member of Fex who now lives in Munich, reported. "Until recently we had no idea about this phenomenon," the 68-year-old admitted. He was amazed at the popularity of the song and began to search old recordings. Hädrich explained that the song was recorded in the band in 1983 and that they are now collecting evidence to confirm their authorship. "We are completely overwhelmed by the reactions," he added.
The band now plans to re -record the song and produce a music video. "We are ready to plan the next steps," said Hädrich, who immediately made his way to Kiel to meet his old bandmates. The mysterious song could finally get the recognition he is entitled to, and the band Fex could soon be back in the headlines!
