Friedrich, newly baked soldier, visited Nelli, who lived 70 kilometers away at the time, and finally took the crucial step: "I wanted to marry her so much" - a threat that was much more than a mere announcement!

a moving family history

The Buss family's roots go back to Kazakhstan, where the grandparents were relocated by the Volga in 1941. Nelli, who was born on December 18, 1954, was to experience how her family was drawn by the death of four siblings of her grandparents. Growing up with five brothers, Nelli learned the accounting trade and was later the main accountant in a refinery. Friedrich, also born in 1954, did not last long in civilian life, because after a driver training he had to do his military service. The humor was not neglected: "I was an April Fool's joke," he smiles and shows the ease that the couple wore through the years.

a life full of challenges and success

In 1993 they took the big step and moved to Germany with their three sons. Nelli describes the first few months here with a touch of melancholy: "I was homesick." Her husband, who quickly secured a job at Jade Stahl, and Nelli, who worked as a packer and machine guide at Bahlsen, rotated like the gears that got her new life on tours. The return to Kazakhstan was not forgotten either, the last visited her parents, who finally moved to Wilhelmshaven in 1994. Now you can proudly look at your nine grandchildren and cheer on the football success of your eldest son, who has chased the ball since childhood. Her gold wedding is duly celebrated in the family in a China restaurant, a festival that inspires the beauty of the life journey of the bus. A life can hardly be more beautiful!
