His fascination began during an unforgettable Scotland trip that inspired him to found Mo’s Whiskey Corner. Now he brings the whiskey world to Nordenham and invites all connoisseurs to the 2nd Nordenham Whiskey Convention!

On Saturday, November 30th, the Fatale goods shed will be transformed into a Mecca for whiskey lovers. From 7 p.m., visitors can discover the variety of whiskey world and look forward to exquisite tastings. Six top-class exhibitors, including the Whiskey Viking Scott Gordon and the traditional Malt Whiskey Company from Hanover, present their best drops. Morawietz himself shows special rarities, some of them over 20 years old!

Morawietz is not just a dealer, but a real connoisseur of almost 30 years of experience. He knows that choosing the glass is crucial: "A tulip-shaped nosing glass is a must to properly perceive the aromas!" He acquired his expertise through visits to Scottish distilleries and an internship on the whiskey island of Islay. "The ripening period is crucial-it should be at least eight years to achieve really good quality," explains the 55-year-old.

His passion for whiskey is not only a hobby, but also a profession. In addition to his work at Airbus, he runs Mo’s Whiskey Corner and is active as a tasting host. After the success of the first Whiskey Convention last year, Morawietz will take the stage again and take visitors into the fascinating world of the whiskey. "The Scots have perfected the whiskey," he says with a smile as he shares the secrets of enjoyment. Be there and experience an evening full of taste and enjoyment!
