New Thaden business park in Grossensiel: Life returns!
The revival of a former company location in Grossensiel has experienced a remarkable upswing. The Schnitger family took over the 1.8 hectare area of the building materials act J. F. Thaden and converted into a modern business park. This gives a place that was closed in 2021, and the first companies have already settled.
First in the Thaden business park, Maik Nordmann was with his wooden construction company. Robert Stoltz, who previously worked in a small workshop in Atens, has also found a new location here. Both entrepreneurs are enthusiastic about the new possibilities that they offer. "It is a great relief to have everything under one roof," says Nordmann, who can now have his employees work in a spacious room of around 600 square meters.
tradition and future
The Schnitger family gave their project the name "Trade Park Thaden" to honor the long -standing tradition of the Thaden company, which was founded in 1863. Fritz Thaden, who led the company until 2004, is pleased with the continuation of the location. The original plan to convert the site into a residential area failed due to financial hurdles. Instead, the door opened for the Schnitgers, who have now created a win-win situation together with the non-profit Nordenham settlement company.
The business park not only offers halls for commercial use, but also a residential building with five rental apartments, which makes the offer in many ways. Currently there are still partial areas between 300 and 500 square meters as well as a large exhibition and sales hall. Klaus Schnitger emphasizes that the tenants have to fit the concept of the park, for example, since noisy activities in the outdoor area are excluded.
growth and development
The demand for commercial space is high. Klaus Schnitger has already rented about two thirds of the covered areas to different companies and is already planning to expand the indoor capacity. At the moment he is in negotiations with other interested parties, including a cleaning company that is interested in a rental.
The tenants speak of a relief that they have finally found the needed place. Robert Stoltz is pleased about the new premises in which he can now operate an edge glue machine, which significantly increases its production capacities. In addition, other craft businesses, such as roofers and a used car dealer, have started their shops in the new halls.
With the planned structural extensions, the Schnitger family would like to meet the needs of the tenants. Facade renovations and the installation of sectionalors are also planned. The conversions should help to make the business park even more attractive for future companies.
The dynamic development of the Thaden business park is proof of the economic possibilities that are available in the region. With new life and fresh ideas, the location shows how tradition and future can be successfully connected.
