2100 euros for Stollhamm: Lions Club supports social projects!
A radiant result for the community! In the latest Pfandboxen campaign of the Lions Club Emy Rogge Wesermarsch, there were impressive 2100 euros. This proud sum comes from the deposit vouchers that generous customers of the striking market in Ellwurden, the Rewe market in Nordenham and the beverage partner business in ATEN have donated over the year. A real proof of the power of solidarity!
"This is an excellent result," cheered Juliane Schuhr, who looks after the project in the service club. Together with her colleague Birgit Bethge, she now presented symbolic checks over 700 euros each in three non -profit organizations. The ceremonial handover took place in the Haus Christa nursing home in Stollhamm, where the support association is one of the happy recipients.
charitable use of the donations
The chair of the association, Karin Bittner, reveals that the money is used to build a funeral garden - a place of commemoration and calm. The youth welfare at the sea in Stollhamm also benefits from the donation and plans to use the 700 euros for the expansion of your wood workshop and for various purchases. The third recipient, the self-help group for fear and depression sufferers in Nordenham, is also happy about the support. Her founder and director, Marion Kallweit, already has concrete plans: A new laptop is on her wish list!
The head of the nursing home, Christine Rüdebusch, had invited to this warm celebration with coffee and cake. She is not only a host, but also a committed member of the Lions Club. A nice day for everyone involved who shows how much good can be achieved through community action!
