In an explosive process that began today in front of the youth chamber of the Verden district court, four men are in the sights of the judiciary, who are said to have operated a lucrative marijuana business in 2021 in Ritterhude and the surrounding area. The accused, between the ages of 22 and 29, face severe allegations, including gang -based trading in narcotics in no small amount. The period of alleged activities extends from January 2021 to October 2021. During this time, the accused planned their drug sales: the 28-year-old took over the roll of a "boss", which was responsible for the procurement and sale of larger quantities of marijuana. A 25-year-old accomplice took care of the transport and communication with the buyers. A third accused, the 22-year-old, was responsible for the handover of the drugs at agreed meeting points. This clear division of tasks indicates a well thought -out structure that the police could finally smash.

Well thought-out logistics

The logistics of the cartel revealed itself as professionally organized. The oldest defendant, a 29-year-old, made space for the storage of the marijuana and allegedly saved up to eight kilograms of the drugs in his apartment. For his "helpful" job, he received a remuneration of 75 euros per week. The 22-year-old is also mentioned ominously, who stored marijuana and small amounts of amphetamine in a basement room of an apartment building. With him the police also found a shotgun and ammunition.

At the start of the negotiation, the judges, the public prosecutor and the defenders dared a first dialogue to check a possible agreement, but without any noteworthy results. Witnesses are planned in the coming time, a total of 14 witnesses are invited, and five continuation appointments are already scheduled until the end of November. This process will certainly be one of the largest drug cases of the year in the region!
