Universities Vechta and Bozen strengthen cooperation in gerontology!

The University of Vechta in Germany and the Free University of Bolzano in Italy have decided to significantly renew your partnership. Since 2018, the two educational institutions have been working together in the areas of gerontology, social work and teaching impression, but now this cooperation is further intensified by a formal cooperation agreement. This new agreement was recently signed with the consent of the University Council in Bolzano.

The core of the agreement must not only be able to advance existing collaborations, but also the endeavors to promote study, teaching and research activities together. Numerous initiatives are planned, including joint research projects, scientific events and seminars as well as an exchange of students and teachers. The focus is also on developing new courses. A particularly important aspect is the creation of additional options for the mobility of employees, which promotes cooperation at different levels.

University President Professor Dr. Verena Pietzner gratefully commented on the successful initiative and emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership: "Thank you to all employees who have made the strategic partnership possible and will be more and more strengthened with life in the future". This shows that the relevance of cooperation is not only believed at the management level, but also a large number of people within the institutions are closely integrated into the process.

The signed cooperation agreement clearly outlined the perspectives for future cooperation. Both universities want to create added value for their students and employees that go beyond national borders. The exchange and development of new programs are a step towards internationalization of university formation, which is of crucial importance in today's globalized world.
