Norderney ferry harvests anger: 10 euros fees provide outrage!

A new scandal on the North Sea causes excitement! The shipping company Norden-Ferisia has been raising a juicy service fee of a whopping 10 euros since March 2024 on the dreamlike islands of Norderney and Juist. That brings many customers into rage! If you cannot or do not make an online booking, you are now forced to pay this additional fee and criticize this as "insolence".

The popular ferry connections are a need for vacationers without their own boat or plane. A simple return trip for one person costs around 30 euros, including tourist tax. But now Norden-Feria ignites another price signal! The anger is great on social media: "This is impossible. There are older people who cannot book otherwise", complains a user in a Facebook group. The outrage over the monopoly -like emergency situation is increasing!

company defends the measure

Anke Wolff, the spokeswoman for Norden-Feria, defends the measures and explains that the fees are necessary to maintain the traditional booking path. "We have to finance a double structure for relatively few users," she explains. In fact, most guests already fall back on the online portal "Frisonaut", which offers numerous booking options. Nevertheless, there is resentment, since not everyone can go the digital path - and the fees on the North Sea have become a point of dispute!

Again and again the high prices on the North Sea are targeted by the public: a café in Cuxhaven recently made the headlines because it asked for 15.70 euros for coffee and cake. For some vacationers, it seems that only wealthy guests are welcomed. The discussion about rip -off and exaggerated prices will continue - and the 10 euro service fee is the latest and hottest topic!
