Last investigation: Milberg says Goodbye about the Kiel crime scene!

The popular "crime scene" actor Axel Milberg will soon be investigating as Commissioner Klaus Borowski in the Kiel "crime scene". The final case is entitled "Borowski and the Head of Medusa" and has been announced in the ARD for March 16, 2025. Milberg, who has embodied the role of the Commissioner for over 20 years, announced in 2023 that he wants to leave the Kiel "crime scene" in order to turn to new challenges.

In his last appearance, Borowski is about to retire. He is involved in the investigation while plans to extend his passport. The final case is humorously described: Borowski plans a trip around the world and find himself in the middle of three crimes while being pursued by a psychopath. In addition, Milberg indicated various ways of how Borowski's history could end, including scenarios such as a car accident or poisoning.

Milberg's heir and successor

Milberg has played the role of Klaus Borowski in over 40 “crime scene” sequences since he started the series in 2003. Over the years, the figure has developed from a more psychologically complex sociopath to a more emotional character. The NDR director Joachim Knuth praised Milberg's lasting influence and the long-term connection to the series. The successors of Milberg will be the actresses Almila Bagriacik and Karoline Schuch, who have already shot two episodes that are expected to be broadcast in 2026. Schuch will perform as a police psychologist Elli Krieger, while Bagriacik remains in the Kiel team as chief commissioner Mila Sahin.

The 42nd "crime scene" entitled "Borowski and the Hungry heart" will be broadcast on January 12, 2025, while filming for Milberg's last case has already started, such as ndr.de reported.

For the Kiel "Tatort", a new era begins with Milberg's farewell and the spectators can be excited to see how the series will develop with the new investigating women.
