Citizens' Foundation Uelzen thanks exclusive monastery tour!

Kloster Ebstorf, 29574 Ebstorf, Deutschland - A festival of gratitude and a look at the story! The "Citizens' Foundation for the Uelzen district" recently invited the members of the "Club of the 100" to an unforgettable experience in the impressive Ebstorf monastery. This donation community, which provides at least 100 euros annually for charitable purposes, was recognized for their tireless efforts. With the generous contributions, people in need of help and non -profit organizations throughout Uelzen are supported.

A group of almost 30 committed donors was made by District Administrator Dr. Heiko Blume and abbess Angela Geschonke warmly welcomed in the historic remter of the monastery. Blume, which is also chairman of the foundation, emphasized the immense importance of willingness to donate in his speech: "Without its contribution, the foundation could not have done what it did again this year. They make the difference and I thank you very much." The abbess was pleased to welcome the club and announced a delicious meal with pumpkin soup in the otherwise closed fireplace room.

After the warm welcome, Ulrike Maschmann, one of the four conventual women, took over the lead through the centuries -old monastery. The donors received fascinating insights into the impressive architecture and the eventful history of the monastery. From the picturesque cloister, the path led directly to the monastery church, past the Heilspiegel-a breathtaking picture group with 15 windows-to the legendary world map area. This excursion revealed to the participants why the Ebstorf monastery is one of the district's tourist highlights.
