Landkreis Stade, Deutschland - An emotional farewell in the district house: After 35 years of loyal services at the Stade district, District Administrator Kai Seefried has retired the deputy head of the fire brigade and rescue control centers, Thorsten Bruns. "I would like to thank you for the long -term commitment in the sense of the security of the citizens in the Stade district and wish you all the best for retirement," said Seefried. A worthy farewell that was not unnoticed!
The surprise was perfect! Thorsten Bruns was picked up to the last layer with a fire brigade classic car. In front of the fire brigade and rescue control center (FRL), colleagues and companions stood trellis to receive the outgoing colleague. The official farewell took place in the district house, surrounded by companions such as headers Sabine Brodersen and head of office Hilke Lange. Bruns, who started as a dispatcher in the FrL in 1989, has made a name for himself through tireless efforts and commitment to security.
a career full of devotion
Thorsten Bruns is not just a paramedic and former nursing assistant - his career is a prime example of dedication! In 1987 he passed the paramedic exam and was appointed paramedic three years later. Since 2017 he worked as a permanent representative of the FRL manager Wilfried Spekel. Before that, he worked at the General Hospital in St. Georg and at the Sietas shipyard. In addition, he was active in the volunteer fire brigade for decades, where he had a big influence in the Harsefeld local fire brigade.
The appreciative words of District Administrator Seefried joined the applause of his colleagues: the 64-year-old from Ahlerstedt-Ahrensmoor leaves a lasting impression that will be remembered. An important step for him, a loss for the security community in the Stade district!
