The zoological facilities in Lower Saxony celebrated their second edition of the "Lower Saxony Zoo Days" on September 28 and 29, 2023. After the overwhelming success last year, participation was high again this year and delighted both the zoo operators and the visitors.

The Zoo Osnabrück, which was actively involved in this campaign, reported a variety of positive feedback. "This year we took part in the 'Lower Saxony Zoo Days' again," said Philipp Bruelheide, the managing director of the zoo. He was particularly pleased about the feedback from annual ticket owners who were able to take the opportunity to visit various zoological facilities in Lower Saxony free of charge. "But it was also very pleased that numerous visitors from other zoos took the opportunity to visit our zoo," he added. A total of 1,659 annual ticket holders came from other participating zoos to Osnabrück.

A total of 23 zoological facilities in Lower Saxony and Bremen took part in this special weekend. This initiative aims to offer the regular guests special added value. The annual ticket holders were able to visit one of the other participating institutions free of charge on the two days, which underlined the attractiveness of the zoos in the region.

In addition, the Osnabrück Zoo announced that the new annual ticket is already available. This card not only offers general access to the zoo's attractions, but is also valid for 365 days from the date of purchase. Currently, the new annual ticket can only be purchased on the Zookasse on site, but soon it will be available online again.
