Oldenburg, Deutschland - an outcry among cyclists in Oldenburg! The popular bicycle parking facilities at the train station are faced with inevitable closure in November. Reason? Thorough cleaning, which should ensure fresh and clean conditions! But this measure brings with it some inconveniences that commuters and cyclists in the city will affect.

From November 4, the storage facilities on the station forecourt and the South Bicycle Station will be closed for several days. The city has announced that cleaning will take place from November 11th to 22nd. However, in order to accommodate the cyclists, mobile temples are provided that serve as temporary storage options. About 100 of these temples are available so that the wheels can be safely parked. Cyclists are also encouraged to use the storage areas on the north side of the train station and the accessible areas of the bicycle stations.

But that's not all! During cleaning, comprehensive basic cleaning of the areas around the Süd bicycle station is also carried out. These areas, some of which are used to park vehicles, are blocked for two to three days between 14 and 22 November. The city promises that such cleaning actions will be carried out regularly in the future to ensure cleanliness and to keep the storage areas in a perfect condition.

The measures are part of a larger plan that also includes the removal of scrap wheels. The aim is to keep the storage systems clean, but also functional. Cyclists in Oldenburg have to prepare for some changes, while the city ensures better cleanliness!
