EWE Baskets bring Christmas joy to sick children in Oldenburg!
In a heart-warming visit, the EWE Baskets Oldenburg enchanted the sick children in the St. Elisabeth Children's Hospital in Oldenburg on Wednesday afternoon. No matter whether they are known as basketball stars-here they slipped into the role of friends who bring joy to all patients. This is not just a tradition, but a matter close to the heart for the team that delighted the little patients with gifts and a quiz. Each child received a gift bag that was filled with surprises while the players helped answer tricky questions. The joy was visible, and the smile of the children let the great athletes shine, such as eWe-baskets.de reported.
The event, which has now looked back on almost ten years of tradition, was a welcome change in everyday hospital life. Here the little patients were able to dive into a course of basketball baskets, billiard tables and table football, which meant a real joy. Mascot Hubird was also on site and delighted the children, while stars like the huge Norris Agbakoko impressed with its size. "It is very moving and touching to spend a few nice moments together," said Kenny Ogbe from the EWE Baskets and underlined the importance of this encounter, like nwzonline.de reported.
The players not only showed themselves as basketball professionals, but also as great listeners who could put a smile on the face to the children. Rainer Schoppik, Commercial Board of the Clinic, noticed the enormous joy among the small patients who will certainly never forget such experiences. This underlines the importance of community and that there is more than just basketball on the court - they are the human connections that count.
