Honoring the fire brigade heroes: 1735 years of use for our security!

A terrific festival for the heroes in uniform! In the Landhaus Greene, the honorary event for the fire brigades in the North fire protection section became an impressive spectacle. Over 1735 years of voluntary work were celebrated, with a musical fireworks of the Kalefeld fire department. Government fire chief Henning Thörel, district fire chief Marko de Klein and section fire chief Kai Reichelt honored the tireless fire protection officers who have made countless missions in recent years.

The event lasted around four hours and was an impressive testimony to the dedication of these volunteer firefighters. "Every volunteer fire brigade, every single volunteer is indispensable," emphasized Frank-Dieter Pfefferkorn, chairman of the fire and disaster protection committee. Einbeck's mayor Sabine Michalek also emphasized: "What they do in volunteering is priceless!" Over 950 missions were mastered by the 1700 active members, and almost 400 children and adolescents are active in the young fire brigade groups - a strong sign for the future!

The merits of the firefighters were duly appreciated. Tobias Krawietz and police chief commissioner Dirk Johannig received the honor for ten years in the district training. Numerous firefighters were awarded for 25 years of membership, including Dennis Cludius and Jens Heinemeyer. Honors were even pronounced for 60 years of active service! The promotions were also a highlight of the evening: Manuel Gaspar and Eike Probst-Piselli were promoted to delete masters, while Dominik Kaluza received the title of fire champion.

The new modular troop training is intended to facilitate the transition from the youth fire brigade to the operational department in order to bring the young talents into service faster.
