On Tuesday, November 12th, the Northeim police on the federal road 248 carried out a flash -fast speed control, which had shocking consequences for some drivers! Between 10:15 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., the vehicles that imported from Oldenrode into the strict 50 km/h zone were examined exactly. The campaign aimed to increase traffic safety, since the permissible maximum speed here is often exceeded with full force.

The results of the control were alarming: 19 drivers ignored the speed limit! In eleven cases, fine procedures were initiated immediately, while seven drivers could get away with a milder warfare. But the real excitement was a driver from the Northeim district, which was flashed with an incredible 97 km/h - almost twice as fast as allowed! This rapid racer must now expect an impending ban on driving, which could be expensive.
