The upcoming construction work on Bundesstraße 3 between Edesheim and Northeim is imminent. The Lower Saxony State Authority for Road Construction and Transport announced that the measures will begin on Thursday, October 10th. Originally, the construction started for the end of September, but was postponed.

The work initially affects a section of two kilometers, which extends from the Northeim-Nord motorway connection to the confluence of Kreisstraße 404 in Edesheim. This area is completely closed to traffic during the construction work, which is expected to continue until October 18, as press spokesman Henning Hoppmann explained. The on-board and departure ramps to the A7 motorway towards Kassel will also be closed during this time, while the ramps in the direction of Hanover will remain available.
