Repayment threatens: Dispute over Dömitzer Railway Bridge is pussy!

Dömitz, Deutschland - The Samtgemeinde Elbtalaue is faced with considerable financial consequences by a procedural error in the planning of the Dömitz railway bridge. Mayor Jürgen Meyer, independent, informed that an incorrectly set checkered led to the fact that the cheaper offer to prepare the historical bridge, which is to be equipped with a viewing platform, was not taken into account. The architects were not on site, which was a prerequisite for the tender. As a result, the municipality threatens the repayment of five percent of the total amount of around 318,000 euros.

The project, which was funded by the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Environment with a total of 6.7 million euros, was to be inaugurated in the summer of 2023. The Samtgemeinde has currently filed a lawsuit at the Lüneburg Administrative Court, due to the procedural error. The reason for the lawsuit is to be presented by the end of January. Another construction project is planned with an information center in the "Lower Saxony ElbeTalaue" biosphere reserve until 2028.
