Neu-Ulm, Deutschland - Neu-Ulm has finally made a decision: The gastronomy duo Michael Freudenberg and Oliver Loser will take over the coveted lease for the charming barefüßer site on the Danube! After a year of standstill, in which the location remained unused, the two are now in the starting blocks to revitalize the area.

With a narrow coordination of eleven to six votes in the city council, the concept of the restaurateurs was favored. A comprehensive renovation of the historic casino building, the construction of a hotel and-the best-the reopening of the popular beer garden are planned. Mayor Katrin Albsteiger has also spoken out for Freudenberg and Loser and thus supports the return of the joie de vivre in this unique place.

nobody wants the cultural center

The Kulturdach association, which was also interested in this dream location, went away empty -handed. Their proposal to build a cultural center with gastronomy was not sufficiently encouraged in the city council. In addition to the emotional component, the financial side also played a crucial role: the concept of Freudenberg and Loser not only promises an upgrading of the site, but also a bubbling business model that benefits from the city's tax revenue.

The anticipation for the comeback of the Barfüßer site is great, and the entire region can look forward to an exciting development that raises the gastronomy to a new level. A historic casino, a chic hotel and an inviting beer garden-Neu-Ulm will soon be richer!
