Two drivers end up in the ditch: luck in misfortune at Eschershausen!

Eschershausen. On Wednesday morning, two spectacular car accidents near Eschershausen! At shortly before 6 a.m., a young man lost control of his BMW and landed with a loud crash in the ditch. The driver who came from the direction of wood had strayed from the road on the last straight in front of the entrance to the town. Fortunately, he was unharmed and was able to get out of the vehicle independently. A second sleep or distraction could have been the reasons for this moment of terror!

Just 21 minutes later, at 6.21 a.m., another incident occurred! The automatic emergency call system of a VW ID3 reported an overload of the vehicle on the B 64, directly in front of Eschershausen. The driver was initially reported as trapped, which put the rescue workers on alert. Fortunately, the situation was not as dramatic as it initially appeared.

driver can free themselves

The second accident concerned a 44-year-old man from Eschershausen, who came to the right with his VW from Odfeld in a long right-hand bend. He drove through a deep street ditch over 150 meters before he came to a standstill in front of a field driveway. He too could free himself! The Eschershausen volunteer fire brigade, under the direction of local fire chief Christian Puschendorf, was quickly on hand to secure the scene of the accident. Despite the accidents, traffic was still able to drive past the scene of the accident in three lanes. Police officers and the emergency services were also on site to take the 44-year-old to a hospital after a first check.

The VW ID3, on the other hand, had to be recovered and towed and is expected to be classified as total damage. A shocking morning for everyone involved!
