Locking of Fürstenberger Straße: detours and construction work in Holzminden!

Holzminden. A large traffic chaos is imminent! Fürstenberger Straße will be closed from Wednesday, November 13th to Saturday, December 7th, in the section from the cinema to Lönsstraße. The reason? The city of Holzminden has ordered the closure to restore the sidewalk in front of the new senior citizens' residential complex. But that's not all! The network operator Westfalen Weser Netz takes the opportunity to lay empty pipes for the power grid.

Deardling and bus lines affected

For everyone who wants to drive inland, there is a detour via Luisenstraße, Südstraße and Bahnhofstrasse. The Fürstenberger Straße remains open as a one -way street out of town. But that's not the only challenge: Bus line 509 will also be affected by the blocking, since the Gartenstraße stop cannot be operated. Instead, the Bahnhofstrasse stop will serve as a replacement.

The city emphasizes: "The partial closure is necessary because the area is too tight for the construction work. However, all residents can still reach their land." A clear indication that despite the restrictions, the residents are not abandoned!
