Serious accident in Arholzen: Two injuries after frontal collision

Arholzen. On Friday afternoon at 1:48 p.m. A black Hyundai i20 and a VW Tiguan collided head -on, with two people being seriously injured. The alarmed local fire brigades were quickly on site to help and master the situation.

The police report that the 33-year-old driver of the VW was traveling from Stadtoldendorf towards Arholzen, while the 58-year-old driver of the Hyundai drove from the Wolfenbüttel district towards B64. The exact circumstances that led to this dramatic collision are still unclear. At the scene of the accident, 62 firefighters worked under the direction of Frank Herrmann (Lobach fire brigade) to save the injured and secure the street.

Retting under high pressure!

The Hyundai driver was not available when the rescue workers arrived and was included in his vehicle. A rescue helicopter was requested and landed on the L583 to help as quickly as possible. The 33-year-old woman in the VW was initially cared for and then united from firefighters and paramedics from her car. She was then taken to the hospital in Höxter. The L583 remained completely closed during the rescue work.
