Oil track after accident: Police investigated drunk drivers in Meinbrexen!

In the morning hour of November 1, 2024, around 8:30 a.m., the Holzminden police were called for an exciting situation in Dorfstraße in Meinbrexen. An oil track caused by a traffic accident caused excitement. At the scene, the officers discovered an abandoned vehicle that apparently lost control after a failed maneuver against a curb. The consequences were dratic: the oil pan was torn open and had turned the road into a dangerous slide!

Thanks to intensive investigations, the law enforcement officers quickly came across the 23-year-old driver. The incident took place around 3:00 a.m. and when the police spoke to the young man, he immediately confessed the accident. But that was just the beginning! He was initially accused of escaping traffic accident. But that was not all: the suspicion that he was accurate at the time of the accident led the police to take him to the hospital to take blood. He was also taken away from the driver's license!

Surprisingly, the incident remained without injuries, which was a little miracle in the situation. A towing cleared the abandoned vehicle from the danger site, while the local fire brigade Lauenförde/Meinbrexen and the building yard of the Samtgemeinde Boffzen removed the oil track.
