Kreis Holzminden. A very special day in the office of the Holzminden district sports association! A total of 425 years of concentrated sports history were celebrated! The clubs MTV Deensen (125 years), SV Wesertal Grave, FC Eintracht Polle and SV Frischauf Rühle (100 years each) were honored for their outstanding work. A reason to celebrate that makes the hearts of sports enthusiasts beat faster!

The board members of the honored clubs accepted the invitation of the district sports association and gathered in the Liebigstrasse sports park. "This honor is very important to us to express the appreciation of the work done in the clubs," emphasized KSB chairman Bernd Wiesendorf. At this solemn event, he presented the prestigious badge of honor of the State Sports Association (LSB), which not only included recognition, but also a gift. A moment that strengthens the community!

Delayed Congratulations according to Corona

But the celebrations had a bitter sweetness! "This small ceremony offers us the right setting to pronounce the late congratulations on the respective club anniversaries, which unfortunately could not be celebrated due to the corona pandemic," explained Wiesendorf. The club representatives remembered the difficult time during the Lockdown: "All preparations for the anniversary party were completed, then the Lockdown thwarted us." All four clubs are determined to celebrate the long -term existence - a challenge that you will tackle with great commitment!
