Holzminden, Deutschland - Holzminden was shaken by a dramatic fire alarm on Saturday evening! "Black smoke and flames"-that was the call for terror that called the emergency services into the abandoned halls of the Astrid Lindgren School. Residents, concerned about the threatening smoke development, immediately chose the emergency call and thus triggered a quick reaction.

The police were the first to be at the scene and discovered an old table that smoked and braised in several places. Thanks to the quick intervention of the officials, a larger fire could be prevented by using a fire extinguisher. But that was just the beginning: shortly afterwards, around 35 brave emergency services from the volunteer fire brigade moved up to finally extinguish the fire.

With two respiratory protection teams, the firefighters were determined and controlled the entire building for hidden embers. Fortunately, there were no injuries to complain, but the cause of the fire remains a mystery for the time being. The emergency services were also on site for security, while the operations management was under the supervision of local fire chief Michael Nolte.
