Health care in Holzminden: New center should save lives!

In Holzminden, positive changes in medical care are in sight. RGZ Holzminden GmbH submitted an application to the Ministry of Social Affairs to re -accept a regional health center in the Lower Saxony Hospital Plan. This center, which is set up on the premises of the former hospital, is intended to include 18 internal and two surgical beds. The focus is on cooperation with the municipal medical care center (MVZ). On November 13, 2024, the hospital committee will decide on this application.

On October 24th, the CDU member of the state parliament Uwe Schünemann will invite you to a state parliament table to report on progress in health care. RGZ managing director Tobias Orthmann will present the entire concept together with Ingo Goldammer, the managing director DesMVZ. New practice rooms in the former hospital

The guest crowd will also be able to visit the new practice rooms in the former hospital on Forster Weg, which should be particularly relevant for the resident doctors in the region. The tour begins at 6 p.m., followed by the state parliamentary regulars' table, which will take place from 7 p.m. in the "Green Hall" of the former sister dormitory on Erwin-Böhme-Strasse.

A central theme of the evening will be the idea of ​​the regional health centers, which emerged from the Enquete Commission "Health care in rural areas" of the Lower Saxony state parliament. This idea was laid down by the hospital law by the previous coalition - between the SPD and CDU. The implementation of this concept is to be realized with the help of funding in the millions.

For the success of this initiative, the desired hospital reform of Federal Health Minister Karl Lauterbach is of great importance. In particular, the introduction of the lump sum for smaller hospitals is considered crucial. This could strengthen the financial basis of the regional health centers.
