Peine: October brings stagnating unemployment-the quota in the district of Peine with alarming 5.9 percent! Compared to the previous month, the unemployed in the region have risen slightly, a total of six more people are now looking for a job. Agency for work warns!
In the entire agency district of Hildesheim, which also includes the Peine district, the Situation is just as worrying: 14,956 people were unemployed in October, 29 more than in September and even 682 more than a year ago! The quota stagnates at 6.6 percent. Evelyne Beger, the chairwoman of the management of the Hildesheim Employment Agency, warns: "The economic weakening is now very clearly noticeable on our regional labor market." In normal years we record unemployment in this time of year - but not this time! The overwhelming question remains: where are the jobs? Who will bring about the turn?
