In the entire agency district of Hildesheim, which also includes the Peine district, the Situation is just as worrying: 14,956 people were unemployed in October, 29 more than in September and even 682 more than a year ago! The quota stagnates at 6.6 percent. Evelyne Beger, the chairwoman of the management of the Hildesheim Employment Agency, warns: "The economic weakening is now very clearly noticeable on our regional labor market."
