Music film series Fascination Classical: Free entry to Königslutter!

Königslutter. A special cinema event awaits the film and music fans in Königslutter, because the music film series "Fascination Classical" celebrates your comeback after a five-year break. From November 5, Königslutter will be invited to three unique demonstrations every Tuesday at 7.30 p.m. Admission is free, which makes this event even more attractive.

The Provstei Königslutter has put together a varied program that not only inspires cineastes, but also appeals to music lovers. "We brought two captivating documentaries on outstanding musicians and an impressive concert from the imperial cathedral on the screen," explains Propsteikantor Matthias Wengler. This is an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of classical music and its leading personalities.

film overview and scheduling

The start of the series on November 5 is the film "Momentum" by Günter Atteln. The documentary follows the conductor Joana Mallwitz, who became known as the youngest general music director in Europe and is now working as chief conductor of the Konzerthaus Orchestra in Berlin. The film offers an insight into its career and shows how it founds a family during her rising career.

A week later, on November 19, the documentary "Igor Levit - No Fear" will be presented. This accompanies pianist Igor Levit during intensive rehearsals and recordings. However, the creative creative phase is abruptly interrupted by Covid pandemic, which causes Levit to find innovative ways to stay connected to its audience. He begins to stream his house concerts over social media, which brings him and many other artists in this crisis.

The series will be completed on November 26 with a special concert recording from the Kaiserdom Königslutter. During this performance by Gioacchino Rossini's "Petite Messe Solennelle", the Propsteikantore Königslutter celebrated its 20th anniversary. Around 180 contributors provided unforgettable moments in the sold-out Kaiserdom, and the recording is presented in exquisite image and sound quality.

entry and support

Thanks to the support of private sponsors, admission to these film screenings this year is free of charge. "At the outcome of the cinema, however, there is the possibility to donate the Freundeskreis of the Provsticani Königslutter," explains Wengler. The collected funds are used to support the planned concerts of the Propstei in the coming year. This form of financial aid makes it possible to maintain the cultural offer in the region.

Matthias Wengler expressed his gratitude towards the operators of the cinema and the sponsors: "It is wonderful that after so long we can perform our series again in the chamber light games. Special thanks go to the Peseneck family for their great support." These events are a gift for all music lovers, both in Königslutter and beyond, and offer a welcome return to cultural diversity.

The music film series "Fascination Classical" is an outstanding opportunity to deepen into the fascinating world of classical music and its most important interpreters. For more information and news about cultural events in the Helmstedt region, a look at www.braunschweiger-zeitung.de .
