The bright stars and sparkling fairy lights that transform the city center into a Christmas wonderland are on the brink. The association reports on a "great financial challenge". The revenue from retail and landlords have dropped greatly due to persistent vacancies. The annual costs for the festive lighting amount to around 11,500 euros, but the club can currently only have just under half of them!

Press spokesman Christian Blank emphasizes: "The Christmas lighting is a highlight for many citizens and visitors. But without additional funds, the city center will not shine as usual."
