Security around Hanover Central Station is now being tackled with concentrated strength! The first four weeks of the new cooperation strip between the Federal Police Directorate, the Police Directorate and the city of Hanover are a complete success. These stripes patrol Monday to Saturday and ensure more security between Ernst-August-Platz and Andreas-Hermes-Platz. The striking presence should significantly improve the security feeling of the citizens and at the same time strengthen the objective security situation in the area.

In the first three and a half weeks, the stripes have impressive figures: over 300 people were addressed, and more than two dozen advertisements about criminal and contrary violations were accepted. The number of references and identity assessments is also in the three -digit range! However, violating the prohibition of weapons are extremely rare. "The now bundled responsibilities of the three security authorities guarantee direct agreements and quick decision -making channels," explains Andreas Meier from the Federal Police Directorate Hanover.

Axel von der Ohe, first city council in Hanover, emphasizes the positive effect of the strip: "The feedback shows that the common presence is perceived and strengthens people's feeling of security." Thorsten Massinger from the Hanover Police Directorate is certain: "We have to strengthen the feeling of security in the Bahnhofsviertel together. The previous steps are promising, and the visible shoulder closure between the security authorities contributes to more effective security." The stripes have the clear task of enforcing laws and being accessible to the citizens at any time.

This initiative is part of a comprehensive package of measures by the city, which also includes strengthening municipal crime prevention and an expansion of the weapon ban zones. There are already similar success projects in other cities such as Hamburg and Bremen, and now Hanover also shows how to create security with overview and cooperation. The goal: a safe environment for all travelers and citizens in the main train station!
