Change at the garbage disposal: Alba takes over the yellow sacks in Hameln!
From January 1, 2025, Alba Niedersachsen-Anhalt GmbH takes over the collection of yellow recycling bags in the Hameln-Pyrmont district. This change takes place every three years as part of a tender of the dual system, and this year Alba was awarded the contract. The circle assumes an annual volume of around 5,000 to 5,300 tons of light packaging made of plastic and metal, which are to be attributed to the cycle. Alba is well prepared and organizes the logistics from Barsinghausen, like dewezet reported.
The changeover should be as smooth as possible. In the previous change, there were difficulties as collection vehicles and the necessary navigation software were not available, which led to dissatisfied citizens. This time, the new dark blue vehicles from Alba are already ready to ensure traffic and efficiency of the collection. The tours are inserted into the logistics software, so that Alba can seamlessly build on the preparatory work of the previous service provider Prezero, which is only active until the end of the year. Lena Keller, an expert at Alba, emphasizes the importance of the correct waste separation and the avoidance of missed throws in order not to endanger the recycling process, such as euwid explained.
possible introduction of the yellow bin
In addition to the yellow sacks, the district waste management plans a model test for the introduction of the yellow bin in 2026. The district council has supported this in a recent decision with a abstention and without votes. The functionality of the yellow bin is to be tested in a selected area, which represents another step towards efficient waste management. The citizens are already asked to contact Alba directly if you have any questions about waste separation.
