AWO Bad Bentheim-Gildehaus: Volunteers celebrate community and loyalty!
A festival of gratitude and commitment! The AWO local association Bad Bentheim-Gildehaus recently invited its members to the senior citizens' residential complex in Ostpreußenstrasse for the annual meeting. Chairman Hans Peters took the opportunity to emphasize the enormous value of volunteering. "Humanity, joie de vivre and solidarity is filled with life by us volunteers," he called to the present and thanked the numerous volunteers for their tireless efforts.
The focus is on the community! Peters appealed to everyone who tackled the diverse tasks together, because "only together we create good for people". The AWO local board is actively working on new ideas and takes care of the well-being of its members. "Your joy and your laughter give us a boost," says Peters, who wants to continue to maintain social cohesion.
honors for loyal members
A highlight of the meeting was the honor of long -standing members by Sigrid Stinn, the chairwoman of the AWO district association Grafschaft Bentheim. The couple Helga and Gerd-Friedrich de Leve, which the AWO has been loyal to 50 years, was particularly emphasized! Luise Becker and Ruth Ruda, who have been there for 30 years, as well as Rosa Wehrmeyer, who can look back on 25 years of membership, were honored for their loyalty. Stinn thanked the jubilees and presented them with honorary certificates, pins and small gifts.
The future is promising! Hans Peters informed the members about the exciting events that will be on the program in the coming weeks and months. From the Christmas party to klön afternoons with coffee and cake to bingo, skat and summer festivals-the AWO local club has a lot to offer. With a big thank you for the lively participation, the meeting ended in a convivial atmosphere with a small snack and drink.
