Sparkasse Hildesheim: New service for coin money from January 2025!
From January 2, 2025, Sparkasse Hildesheim Goslar Peine will offer its customers a new way to comfortably paying out larger amounts of coin money. The system provides for the use of special bags, the so -called safebags, that make it easier for users to hand over their coins safely and easily. This solution will be available in all the Sparkasse company staffed by employees, which significantly increases the range of the offer.
So far, customers have only been able to deposit coin money via SB devices at selected locations. Jürgen Twardzik, CEO of the Sparkasse, noticed that many of the existing coin pay devices reach their operating time at the end of 2024 and decreased as a whole. "We were therefore looking for ways how we can make it easier to deal with coin money without rejecting this income, as is the case with other banks," explains Twardzik. This shows the commitment of the Sparkasse to adapt its services to the needs of its customers.new deposit options
For the deposit of household quantities, coin money, such as the content of a usual money box, the Sparkasse offers to count it directly on site and immediately write down the customer's account - free of charge. For larger quantities of coins, private and business customers have the opportunity to fill the money loosely into the safebags. These bags are then given in the branches. An external company will count the coins centrally, and the amounts are credited to the customer after a few days.
The use of the safe bags for the deposit of larger quantities costs 9.90 euros per bag. Twardzik explains that the processing of cash is fundamentally expensive and that the Sparkasse does not generate any additional income, but only pass on the costs incurred. The majority of customers will hardly be affected by this price, since only a few are able to pay larger amounts of coin.
With this new initiative, the Sparkasse reacts to the changed economic conditions and the acceptance of cash use. Despite the decline in cash traffic, Sparkasse Hildesheim Goslar Peine shows that it recognizes the need for easier handling of coin money and acts accordingly. This change could appeal to many customers who have regular minting and look forward to an uncomplicated solution. For further information, interested parties can be the website hildesheimer-presse.de visit to get current updates for this new offer.
