Fire in Göttingen residential complex: a person with flue gas poisoning!

On the night of Monday, October 7, 2024, the emergency services in Göttingen were alerted when a fire was reported in an apartment on the twelfth floor of a residential complex on Groner Landstrasse. An alarm of the fire alarm system, which arrived at the municipal regional control center around 1:12 a.m.

The fire brigade actually found a fire in the relevant apartment when it arrived, which is why further forces were mobilized. The fire fighting was carried out with a C-tube, whereby there had already been a smoke spread on the floor below.

During the extensive operational measures, a person who had suffered flue gas poisoning was discovered. This person was immediately cared for by the emergency services and taken to a hospital. Fortunately, there were no other injuries. The fire brigade was over after about an hour and a half after the fire had been brought under control and the affected areas had been ventilated.
