Isenbüttel plans all -day care: DRK withdraws!
in Isenbüttel, Lower Saxony, a revolutionary change in all -day care is scheduled! From August 1, 2026, first graders have a legal right to all -day care, and this claim is gradually expanded to the following years. The four primary schools of the velvet community - Calberlah, Isenbüttel, Ribbesbüttel and Wasbüttel - have been offering all -day operation for years, but now everything is getting different! The Gifhorner DRK district association, which has been responsible for care since 2010, will soon be replaced. On Tuesday, November 19, the velvet municipal school committee will be advised at 5 p.m. in the town hall about the upcoming changes, followed by a decisive meeting of the Samtgemeindenat
The Samtgemeinde Isenbüttel plans to terminate the service agreement with the DRK district association by December 31, 2024 in order to make all-day care independent in the future. Mayor Jannis Gaus explains: "We want to control the all -day school company ourselves." This decision surprisingly comes for the DRK district association, which describes the collaboration as trustworthy and "deeply regrets" the decision. However, Gaus emphasizes that the velvet community is dissatisfied with the current situation, since it only acts as a financier and has no influence on the design of the all -day offer.
New model for all -day care
With the new approach, the velvet community will take over the coordination of the all -day offer itself in order to create clear structures and less administrative effort. The primary schools will directly conclude a cooperation agreement with the velvet community, while the responsibility for the design remains with the headmaster. Gaus emphasizes that this model is already practiced successfully in other communities such as Gifhorn and Meinersen.
