East Frisia in crime thriller fever: Wolf plans new bestsellers in the museum!

Norden, Deutschland - bestselling author Klaus-Peter Wolf (70) sprays from creative energy! In his home town of north, Lower Saxony, he finds new inspiration in a brand new crime museum that celebrates the region's exciting crime thriller culture. "A body in a crime museum has something," says Wolf smiles in an interview with the German Press Agency. He is already planning whether his next novel could play in this fascinating exhibition. "I think about whether I put a body in the upper or lower floor," he adds - a real excitement for crime fans!

wolf is no stranger to the world of crime novels: over 15 million of his East Frisian crime novels were sold! His stories are known for playing at real locations, and many of his characters have real role models. Wolf lives north in the charming coastal town, where his captivating stories are also located. Now the city is honored with a new museum that is devoted to crime literature and the films in East Frisia. The humorous ZDF crime series "Friesland" is just an example of the popularity of the region that commutes between idyllic postcard views and shocking crimes.

A look at crime history

Wolf itself sees the museum as a great award and honor. But the crime thriller tradition in East Frisia goes far back, long before his own works stormed the bestseller lists. The new exhibition also tells the history of this literary development. Wolf remembers the author Hansjörg Martin (1920-1999), who with his thriller "dangerous curiosity" paved the way for the genre. "When I was a little boy, I read the first Hansjörg Martin thriller in my mother's hairdressing business-that was 1964," says Wolf. A crime novel that played in East Frisia was a sensation at the time, because the crime scenes were mostly in large cities like New York or London. Now the region of crime fans from all over the world is attracting who want to explore the real locations of Wolf's stories!
