The construction depot in JEVER successfully processed over 1000 orders in 2024. These orders included activities such as winter service, waste disposal as well as the assembly and dismantling of facilities, as well as care and cleaning. From January 1 to November 25, 2024, a total of 1004 individual work orders were processed, while 114 orders were still open at the end of the year.
The Department of Urban Development, Building and Climate Protection contributed significantly to this balance with 438 orders and 3824 working hours. The construction depot consists of a team of 14 permanent employees in the operational area, an administrative employee and eight seasonal staff. In addition, the team received support from a power of the outdoor pool and a GPS employee. The financial income amounts to 758,654 euros from permanent work orders and 188,590 euros from individual work orders, whereby a total of 892 individual bills were created.

The city of Jever is therefore responsible for cleaning lanes, bike paths, parking traces and public parking spaces, while the owners are responsible for the sidewalks. The street cleaning regulations determine the order of cleaning according to the traffic meaning.
It was also found that residents have to keep sidewalks with a width of less than 1.50 meters and other sidewalks at least 1.50 meters. In cases of smoothness, these surfaces must be overturned accordingly. The city carries out the winter service on the lanes according to a defined plan based on the traffic meaning. At the beginning of the last snow period, 100 tons of salt were available, which was quickly used up so that reordering were necessary. Finally, a total of 150 tons of salt were provided, whereby split was also used when the salt was running out.
