Brown bear stranded on Vlieland: SOS Dolfijn fights for his survival!

Vlieland, Niederlande - A bruinvis was seen on the beach of Vlieland today and causes excitement. The animal was immediately brought to the SOS Dolfijn Foundation, which does everything possible to keep it alive. Annemarie van den Berg von Sos Dolfijn explains: "It is now important to do everything to save the animal." Nevertheless, Bruinvis' health is currently unclear. Every year the foundation receives around 30 reports about washed -up bruin vissers, and van Denberg emphasizes that a rescue succeeds in around half of the cases. In the first few days, the animals need care around the clock, which is why the volunteers have to be mobilized in order to be able to help immediately. This situation is not unusual because bruinfissions often live alone or in small groups and stranded more often in the Netherlands.

Special walrus event

In addition to the present incident, a bulge between Vlieland and Terschelling was also observed. This type of walrus is known for your thirst for adventure and ability to move in shallow waters. "Bult - Bultwiggen are much more flexible compared to PotVissen and can survive in the North Sea. They are real explorers!" Explains van den Berg. In recent years, bulben in the North Sea have been seen, which is enthusiastic about many whale observers. However, it is advised to keep your distance so as not to stress the animals, as this can be particularly dangerous in the often flat waters. Van den Berg asks to look at the bulge responsibly and enjoy their presence without pursuing them.
