Friesland, Niederlande - Vrijwilligerspunt Westfriesland celebrates its 40th birthday this year. On this special occasion, 40 cakes are distributed to various social organizations in the West Friesland region. Miranda Zwart, the director of Vrijwilligerspunt, described the cake action as a "tasteful start" for a year full of festive activities.

The organizations were able to register for the cake campaign in November, and over 120 organizations took part. On December 7th, the day of volunteering, the winners were announced via a Facebook video. Today the first 20 winners were surprised with cakes; The remaining winners will receive their cakes next Thursday.
