Emden, Deutschland - The Emder Engelkemarkt opened its gates on Monday evening with a spectacular shock festival! Mayor Tim Kruithoff (independent) gave the starting signal in the festively decorated city garden, where the Christmas lights shone with a single push of a button. A torch parade accompanied the opening and ensured a magical atmosphere that immediately captivated the visitors.

The city center of Emden now shines in the gloss of the lights and promises a maritime flair that makes the hearts of Christmas market visitors beat faster. The ships in the council and the surrounding streets are wrapped in a sea of lights by December 31. The Engelkemarkt is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a special attraction: from December 1st, Santa Claus is expected every day at 5 p.m.
