Wehrbleck, Deutschland - A spectacular accident paralyzed the K43 in Wehrbleck near Sulingen in the Diepholz district! A truck, loaded with a whopping 22 tons of potatoes, has stripped off the street and overturned. The curvy story began on Friday afternoon, November 8, when the driver lost control on a straight line for reasons that have so far been unexplained. The truck landed in the green strip and tipped aside, but luckily got stuck in a group of trees that prevented a complete overturning.
The rescue of the crashed vehicle is a real challenge. Due to the onset of darkness, the campaign had to be postponed to Saturday, November 9th. First, the potato sacks must be unloaded before a crane is used to put the truck back on the wheels. The police cordoned off the scene of the accident and the traffic is diverted while the salvage work is in full swing. The exact cause of the accident remains a mystery for the time being and is examined by the investigators.
