A storm hunter with a passion that most people cannot understand! "Va Dima", a 31-year-old Diepholzer, is not looking for the vastness when the weather is going crazy-he is looking for closeness to storms! On social media, he shares his knowledge of tornados, super cells and the secrets of the weather. He calls "hail monsters" a particularly impressive weather phenomenon that he has documented. But how did this extraordinary passion come about?
The root of his interest lies in a shocking experience from his childhood. At just six years, “Va Dima” experienced a storm that shaken him into its foundations. "It was like a wall of water," he recalls. This traumatic experience, in which he had to look for protection with friends, turned into a fascination for the weather over the years. "I'm just no longer afraid," he says, describing how he trained in autodidactically and got his first camera to capture the forces of nature.
