Magic of lights in Delmenhorst: The magical island of the lights awaits you!

The Burginsel in Delmenhorst has been shining in a spectacular light of light since mid -November. The "Deluminous" light festival turns the island into a fascinating light set every evening with over 100,000 light points and 5,000 meters of fairy lights, until January 5. This impressive project, for which the city of Delmenhorst took around 300,000 euros, shows 100 artistically designed light sculptures, which were set up by the Bremen company "Pep Up Advertising design". At the official opening, visitors were enthusiastic about the radiant atmosphere and the creative installations.

The light park not only offers breathtaking looks, but also exciting information about the history of Delmenhorst. At various installations, visitors can scan QR codes to learn more about the city and its development. A special highlight is a bright locomotive that illustrates the historical role of the railway for city history. Gastronomic stands also take care of the physical well -being, whereby mulled wine, fries and various treats are offered.

"With our event we want to illuminate the winter time with magical moments," explains project manager Ove Braasch. The "Deluminous" festival is seen as a valuable addition to the Delmenhorster Christmas market, which is also open until December 29. While the lights sparkle on the castle island, you can enjoy delicacies such as bratwurst and roasted almonds at the Christmas market and take part in various events, including the popular "Before-Christen parties" with DJ Kalle.
